Artist's Statement:

"These paintings are a blend of the whimsical and the magical, reminiscent of the illustrations one might find in a children's fantasy book. The goal is to bring the viewer delight and enchantment, and perhaps to make them wonder if they were really seeing all that there is to see when they look out their window. This show represents my return after a 2 1/2 year gap due to personal circumstances."

Mr. Twigs

Mr. Twigs is extremely shy and stays in dark cozy places. He doesn't like being noticed. He's very sweet. He'd much rather be showing little plants where to grow their roots in order to get the best nutrients than to sit for his portrait. 8" X 10" Oil on panel

Fairy

Fairies are the original ADD creatures. They are so easily distracted because everything they fixate upon brings them such delight that they have to stop and ponder. This fairy was on a mission to play with dragonflies, but she saw this leaf and had to first enjoy its beauty to the fullest. In a moment, there will be something else to enjoy. She may never play with the dragonflies this season, but rest assured, there will be another fairy on a mission who will stop and play with them! 8" X 10" Oil on linen

What can I say about Peanut? To me, Peanut represents what the fey-folk are about--joyous, a little naughty, fun loving, practical jokers with hearts of gold. Never worry, love a lot all ways and every way and do not take life too seriously, but appreciate all that it has to offer. 8" X 10" Oil on linen
